Felt Mittens

My older two insist on wearing gloves. We try to spend as much time as we can outside no matter the temperature. As I have said before we are enjoying the cold. Some days even their waterproof ski gloves just don’t cut it. I am trying to convince them that mittens are good! When your fingers can touch each other they stay warmer. After finding the perfect pink yarn my daughter was convinced. So I knit her a pair of felted mittens.

Felting

The mittens are big, too big for a 5 year old. Throw them in the wash with like colors on the hot cycle. They will felt, shrink, and become thicker and warmer.
