Bored Bucket

bored bucket 2

We have had a couple pockets of down time in our house. There was an unplanned long weekend a couple weeks ago due to snow and then last weeks February break. I started a Bored Bucket. I took an old oatmeal container (Trader Joes are good because the bottom is metal and more substantial). I decorated it and started putting ideas into the bucket that my kids could do if they were bored. When I introduced it to them I gave them the opportunity to add to it too. Electronics were not allowed. Of course the iPad came in handy when researching fusible bead patters or ski mountain trail names.
