After four days checking the homemade nest, I found this yesterday late morning:
Empty.
The nest was intact (no sign of struggle). The nest was clean, which means the parents were taking care of the bird until the end and clearing out baby’s mess. There was no baby bird on the ground nearby. There were no parents squawking at me when I checked the nest.

My mother-in-law (who has robins nest near her kitchen window almost annually) sent me this cool video someone made of a robin’s nest on their porch.
Robins seem to be great parents.
