We have reached a TwoCleverMoms milestone – our first giveaway!
I won a giveaway last week on Bird and Little Bird – a blog that I have followed and enjoyed for a while. The prize was all of the editions of Alphabet Glue, an e-magazine with ideas, activities and suggestions for parents with kids who love books. I’m a fan and previously purchased all but the most recent editions, and have recommended this on Our Favorites page since we started TwoCleverMoms. Alphabet Glue is made up of activities, crafts, print-outs, science experiments and book recommendations. It’s very creative and clever, and my kids and I have enjoyed and been inspired by the activities.
As part of my winning, I can receive three sets of all 10 digital editions of Alphabet Glue to give away to friends. Annie, the author of Alphabet Glue, has allowed me to offer them up here. If you have boys or girls around elementary age who like to sit and work on creative stuff, this would be an awesome thing to have in your toolbox as we roll into school vacation. If you have friends or family with such kids, spread the word, and it would make a nice gift.
To enter, leave a comment with your favorite book this year (for grown-ups or children), and then follow the directions to fill out the Rafflecopter entry form.
As this is our first giveaway, I’m not sure of the official language, but winners will be randomly chosen on Friday, December 15th by Rafflecopter. I am an Alphabet Glue fan and sharing the love and reward of Anne’s generous giveaway, we are not being compensated by Alphabet Glue (other than being a randomly chosen winner of a similar prize and hopefully getting some good book recommendations). Sarah, is eligible to enter and win. I will contact the winners via email with information on how to receive your digital editions as .pdf files of Alphabet Glue to your email box.
Enjoy, good luck, and spread the word!

Contest entry – My favorite book this year is http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/26/books/review/olivia-and-the-fairy-princesses-and-more.html?_r=0
Olivia and the Fairy Princesses because it teaches kids to be individuals – there other princesses besides pink ones with a crown. There are African princesses and Japanese Princesses in kimonos. Love it’s message! Thanks again for this awesome blog!

I’m loving the highly sophisticated “Piggie and Elephant” series. Makes easy reading fun for a boy who gets a little bored with “see spot run.”
Oooh. That rhymed.

I’m currently reading “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” by Barbara Kingsolver. Love reading about a family culture of growing your own food and using it to cook delicious recipes together. It has rekindled my childhood dream to have a small farm. For now I’ll stick with buying more of my groceries from local sources. 🙂

My favorite book of all time is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I love reading period pieces that take you back to another day and time and let you experience what life would have been like. All of her books do this but PP is my favorite ! It must be mr Darcy
