My best friend is a public transportation planner and has driven buses. I am jealous. One of my favorite stories I love to hear her tell is driving a bus at the crack of dawn in Cambridge, MA. She was just at the right place at the right time. The closest I have gotten are mini buses that I would drive students to field trips in when I taught. Not the same as a big yellow school bus or large city bus. The last two mornings I have had to drive my big boy to school because we have missed the bus for one reason or the other. He has been sad to miss out on the morning bus party. Some day I will be the driver of the bus party.
