Afternoon Son

My two girls nap in the afternoon. Theoretically this leaves quality time to spend with their big brother.  Some times I need a little time. Luckily Andy loves what he calls “speriments”. They are usually messy experiments. One afternoon he just asked for water, and then some stemware. I had confidence that all would be well and went to chance the laundry and do the lunch dishes. I was pleasantly surprised when I returned to find the dinning room relatively dry and free of tiny pieces of glass.  Most importantly he was excited to show me his discoveries. My recent installation of the Instagram App helped take the fun to the next level too. Below the images are some ways that playing with light, water, and glass could be more intentionally a teachable moment.
