In my mad search for tiered plates for our tea party I found some beautiful ones on Etsy. However they were too expensive. So I decided to combine a couple ideas I saw and make my own.
Tiered Plates
Supplies
- 3 glass plates of various sizes
- pair of glass candle sticks
- paper towel
- rubbing alcohol
- glass super glue
Directions
- Clean all dirt, dust, oil, and finger prints off the plates and candle sticks with the paper towel and rubbing alcohol.
- Place glue around the bottom edge of one of the candle sticks. Quickly place the small plate’s bottom side centered onto the bottom of the candle stick. Let dry for at least 5 minutes. This will be your top tier.
- While you wait for the top tier to dry. Place glue around the bottom edge of the other candle sticks. Quickly place the medium size plate’s bottom side centered onto the bottom of the candle stick. Let dry for at least 5 minutes. This will be your middle tier.
- When both step 2 and 3 are dried. Take the medium sized plate and attached candle stick. Place glue around the top edge of the candle stick. Quickly center the candle stick on to the center top of the biggest plate. Let dry for at least 5 minutes.
- When step 4 is dried. Place glue around the top edge of the candle stick attached to the smallest plate. Quickly attache the candle stick to the top center of the middle sized plate.
- Carefully place the finished tiered plates in a place where it can’t get disturbed. Let it fully dry for at least a day.
